Birth on your own terms
— I’m Ashley, a Traditional Midwife based out of Franklin County, PA. I believe every birth is a unique and wonderful journey and I am here to help families in our area achieve their birth on their terms.
I started my journey into midwifery in 2020 after a birth experience of my own that really woke me up to the problems within the maternity care system. I spent some time doing online learning and some in-person workshops before attending my first birth in 2021. I began an apprenticeship which was completed in May 2024, and attended my first birth as a midwife that same month. I have trained in CPR, neonatal resuscitation, breech, and shoulder dystocia, as well as other situations that may arise.
My experiences in birth work, along with my own pregnancy and birth journeys have shaped me into a midwife with passion for autonomy and empowerment for every family that is going through this journey.
What I do
Home Birth Midwifery
If a home birth is in your plans, I offer comprehensive prenatal care, birth attendance, and postpartum care, ensuring a safe and empowering experience in the comfort of your home. I am trained to provide education on birthing techniques, nutritional guidance, and emotional support throughout your journey, focusing on both the physical and mental well-being of you and your baby.
Doula Services
If you are more of a hospital birth type or already have an amazing midwife that you adore, I also offer labor support services. After spending a little time getting to know you in the prenatal period, I will be a support for you through labor and the immediate postpartum period.
Education and Other Services
If you are looking for a childbirth education or birth planning assistance I can help with that too! I offer education classes, birth planning sessions, and other one-on-one coaching sessions for expecting families to help them be confident in their pregnancies, births, and postpartums. As a midwife I can also do a little fertility counseling and well-woman checks!
